The Msovi Agro-Conservation Initiative (MACI) is a non-governmental organization based in Arusha, Tanzania. We are dedicated to transforming agriculture into a sustainable system that regenerates the environment and uplifts rural livelihoods.
Our work connects farmers, youth, and communities with the knowledge and tools to protect nature while producing food sustainably.

A self-sustaining and climate-resilient Tanzania where agriculture and conservation work together to
create lasting food security, biodiversity, and prosperity for future generations.
Core Objectives
1. Sustainable Farming Practices:
o Train farmers in organic, regenerative, and climate-smart agriculture.
o Encourage soil conservation, composting, and water-efficient irrigation.
2. Environmental Conservation:
o Restore forests and natural habitats through agroforestry and reforestation.
o Protect nature and promote biodiversity.
3. Community Empowerment:
o Empower youth and women through agribusiness skills training, cooperative
formation, and entrepreneurship.
o Support smallholder farmers with access to inputs, tools, and markets.
4. Education & Awareness:
o Establish demonstration farms and learning centers.
o Promote environmental education in schools and communities.
5. Market Development & Value Addition:
o Support value-added processing to increase local incomes.
o Facilitate linkages between farmers and fair markets.
